ABERDEEN CHRISTMAS MARKET
00:50
Since it's now December I am in full Christmas spirit. Well I've been in Christmas spirit since November but that's not the point. One of my favourite things about this time of the year is going to visit the Christmas markets! Since I grew up an hour away from Edinburgh, their Christmas market will always hold a special place in my heart, as it is just full of Christmas magic. But when I moved to Aberdeen last year I didn't know what to expect, although the market is very small, it definitely does not disappoint.
The Aberdeen christmas market this year has seriously upped it's game, with some show rides for both children and adults, two different bars where you can buy festive drinks, loads of stalls with hand made gifts and sweet treats, stalls filled with food to warm you up including bratwurst sausages, burgers, crepes and so many more delicious treats! The market also has a cute little ice rink, set in amongst the trees lit up with fairy lights, although small it is very adorable.
Mum wears: Coat - Barbour // Jeans - Next // Hat - New Look // Bag - Accessorize // Scarf - Present // Boots - Next
Mum was dressed extremely appropriately for the weather, with her thick Barbour coat, hat and scarf she was super toasty for walking around the market. She also looked like she was in the festive spirit as her coat is red, so she fitted in very well with all the stalls and decorations. Her boots are also very on trend and were perfect for all the walking we were doing, as they are flat. They will also keep her feet extra warm, since they are so long.
Louisa wears: Coats - New Look // Top - H&M // Skirt - H&M // Hat - J'Accessorize
When me and Louisa visited the Christmas market, it was in the middle of the day so it didn't really have the same atmosphere, but it was still just as cold! However, Louisa still looked very wintery, dressed with her fur coat that channelled some Sarah Jessica Parker vibes. Her colourful top added some colour to the look to brighten up the black and the sparkle on the top just highlighted how Christmassy her outfit was. Finally, the hat has a nice touch as the gems went really well with the sparkly top.
Jeans - Topshop // Scarf - New Look // Denim Jacket - Levis // Trainers - Adidas
Bag - Primark
For this trip to the Christmas market I decided to dress a bit more casually, so naturally went for my Superstars (what other trainers would I wear?). I also decided to wear my dads old Levi jacket as I thought it gave my outfit a really cool vibe. Although the big scarf makes the outfit seem wintery, it is definitely not very Christmassy, but I decided that's okay since I already went Christmassy on my first market trip.
So whether it's Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh or even London, you have to go to at least one Christmas market this December, and if you don't how can you even get in the Christmas spirit?

I have visited the market twice now, once with my parents when they were visiting and once with Louisa. The first time I visited was after the Christmas lights turn on, so it felt even more christmassy and it was at night so all the sparkly fairy lights were on and the market was bustling with lots of people. I decided to wear a really smart outfit as apposed to going casual, so I opted for my mac, not the best decision as it isn't the warmest coat, but it went well with my outfit. The hat that I added kept me warm enough to wander around the market (the crepe I got also helped with the warmth). I also wore these heeled boots, as they went with the more dressy look I was going for.
