STONEHAVEN
04:14
Stonehaven is only a ten minute drive from Aberdeen and it is the cutest little town ever, set right on the seaside. The best ice cream I've ever tasted is sold in this little shop on the sea front called Aunt Betty's. My flat mates and I decided to take a trip out to go on a winter beach walk, which was absolutely freezing.
The Stonehaven beach is a pebble beach rather than sand, which makes it perfect for walks in the winter as your shoes don't get wet or dirty. This beach, however, would not be ideal during the summer, as you wouldn't be able to build sandcastles and sunbathing would not be very comfy!
Katie wears: Coat - George at Asda // Jeans - Topshop // Boots - New Look // Hat - New Look // Scarf - Gap
As it was so cold on this trip to Stonehaven we all had to wrap up warm and toasty. Katie did a very good job of this by wearing a cosy hat, thick scarf and a big coat. The coat is a really gorgeous burgundy colour, which is the perfect colour for the Autumn/Winter season. It also goes perfectly with the rest of the black garments that Katie is wearing.
Rachel wears: Jacket - Oasis // Jeans - New Look // Scarf - New Look // Trainers - Nike
Rachel didn't dress as wintery as Katie, with a leather jacket and trainers, however she made up for this with a big thick scarf, which definitely kept her warm for the walk. The colours used in this outfit all worked together perfectly and were very on trend for the season. The trainers also added a pop of bright colour, while also still matching the rest of the outfit.
Jacket - Levis // Skirt - New Look // Trainers - Nike // Hat - New Look // Scarf - New Look
I decided to wear my Levis jacket as it gave my outfit a really cool retro vibe and I also thought I needed to give my Superdry coat a bit of a break. The Scarf works perfectly with the jacket as they are both very oversized, so they cancel each other out. The skirt was maybe not the best idea, as my legs were absolutely freezing, the tights did not have much warmth to them at all. I added the trainers to make the outfit a little bit more casual.
Stonehaven is the perfect place to go if you fancy exploring somewhere new for a change, it is full of some amazing views and you can even admire the views with a delicious ice cream. So whether you visit in the winter or the summer, make sure you dress right, so you can make the most of your visit!
