GLASGOW

Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland, making it very easy to get lost in, amongst all of the amazing and varying architecture. One minute you are walking down a street with incredibly designed buildings and the next minute you are walking down a graffiti covered street marvelling at the bold art. It is an incredible city full of unexpected surprises.

I was in Glasgow with my friends to see Gorgon City (who are a house and electronic duo), luckily two of my friends, who I was there with are from Glasgow and were able to show me around, so I could see the city from their point of view and make sure I didn't get lost (which would most definitely happen to me). They showed me places that I would never think to venture to if I was in the city on my own.

Let's start with the trainers, the perfect footwear for a city since there is so much walking to be done, and we all certainly walked a lot this day. They also allow both outfits to be very casual, if either of these outfits had been worn with heels they would instantly become very formal and you could easily go on a night out dressed like this! However, since we were going to a concert it was a much more laid-back situation, clothes wise. Although the weather was quite chilly, a light jacket was also an essential, as the concert venue was gonna be extremely hot and carrying around a big, heavy jacket was not ideal, especially when you just wanna be dancing around and having a good time.

Glasgow is well known for being full of very distinct fashion choices. When we were on our walk to the concert, I spotted people who were filming in the middle on the street. They stood out to me as their outfits were so different to anything I normally see. This gives them an identity and lets them stand out, which is the whole point of fashion! Each one of them brings something a bit extra to their outfit; the guy on the left has upturned his trousers and used layering to add interest to the outfit, the girl has her headphones around her neck using them as an accessory and finally the guy on the right has added a beanie to his outfit. Unfortunately I did not get the chance to ask them where their clothes were from, but it just makes the outfits even more intriguing.

I really enjoyed my time in Glasgow, even though it was a flying visit. I briefly explored a city I have not visited very often. When I do it's only ever to go shopping! It's full of fashion choices that  you can only find in a big city like Glasgow. I highly recommend everyone visits and make sure you look out for all the unique fashion choices!
