NEWCASTLE

For my birthday this year, my friends and I decided to go to Newcastle for a night out, this was mainly due to my friend Sarah and I's obsession with Geordie Shore. It also happened to be three of my other friends birthdays as well, so it was a quadruple celebration! However, the weekend we spent in Newcastle was very busy and I didn't have time to take pictures of the cities street style, so thought I would talk about the nightlife fashion instead, after all Newcastle is very famous for its nightlife.
On a night out in Newcastle, you will see a wide mix of people ranging in age and fashion choices. If you have ever watched an episode of Geordie Shore, then you will have a good idea of what people would wear on a night out. For those of you who have never watched the programme (how have you never seen an episode??), the general idea is the girls will normally look very glamorous; hours spent on hair and make-up, sky high heels and stunning dresses.
Katie wears (left): Dress - Missguided // Heels - Asos // Necklace - BooHoo || I wear: Dress - Rare London // Heels - Primark
Sarah wears: Jumpsuit - In The Style // Necklace - Primark // Heels - In The Style
Rebecca wears: Dress - Miss Selfridge // Watch - Olivia Burton
Of course we all spent forever trying to find the perfect outfit, black being the favourite colour of choice for more than half of the group. Black is the ideal colour; anyone that wears anything black will almost always suit it, there is no need to buy any new accessories because you will definitely have a pair of heels, a bag and some jewellery lying around your bedroom that will certainly match your outfit. No one can go wrong with a little black dress (or jumpsuit in Sarah's case).
I normally live my life in black items of clothing, but since it was my birthday I decided to branch out and wear red instead (shock horror). I spent forever on the hunt for the right dress that wasn't black, which proved a lot harder than you would think. However, Rare London had a large selection of dresses perfect to grace Newcastle and in a range of colours other than black!!
I would highly recommend Newcastle for a night out, it is a city nightlife unlike any other and you will definitely have a lot of fun, almost as much fun as you have getting ready!
