DUNS
06:20
While Duns is most definitely not a city, with a population of just over 2000 people, I thought I would include it anyway as this is where I was both born and brought up. Duns is located in amongst the beautiful Scottish Borders countryside. Duns is surrounded by miles and miles of fields before you meet the next town/village, something that is very hard to get used to if you grew up in a city.
Duns doesn't have as much to offer in the way of fashion as Aberdeen does, there are not as many bold fashion choices, everyone dresses relatively practical. It's hard living in such a small town as the closest clothes shops are an hour away in Edinburgh, there is not the same ease of clothes shopping as there is living in a city.
Sarah wears: Coat - New Look // Jeans - Topshop // Boots - New Look // Gloves - River Island
Shirt - H&M
For this post my sister Sarah and I went on a walk, she wore an outfit she would typically wear on a day-to-day basis. The coat ties the whole outfit together, it is -in Sarah's words- fierce. It is extremely practical, as it is so warm and cosy which is vital at this time of year, with the frosty weather. The only downside to the coat, is that there is no hood and not waterproof, which is not ideal when the weather is as wet and rainy as it has been recently. The boots are, again, very practical for this time of year, keeping your feet dry through all of the rainy weather and are also currently very on trend. The gloves add a cute, little touch to the outfit and add that extra bit of warmth that you definitely need on a cold November walk.
Coat - Superdry // Jeans - River Island // Top - New Look // Trainers - Adidas // Belt - New Look
Both the coat and the trainers have already featured on a previous blog post, so as you know are very practical items and perfect for a walk around the lake in Duns. I also threw on a pair of mom jeans, as they are comfy, which makes for the perfect pair of jeans for a walk. I also wore a long sleeved top as it was VERY cold, I should have copied Sarah and wore some gloves!
