GLASGOW (Girls Day Out)
03:17
Girl's Day Out is held in Glasgow every year on the run up to Christmas. It is the perfect place to do some Christmas shopping as there are loads of different beauty and fashion related brands on offer at the show. My flatmate Rachel is from Glasgow and has attended the show with her mum lots of times in the past, so she suggested that Katie and I went with her this year.
The event was held at the SECC and the venue was filled with hundreds of women all wearing incredibly different and interesting outfits., with women from all ages and very much on trend. The events choice of colour was hot pink, which did not make for great lighting, so apologies for the next few photos.
Skirt - Primark // Top - New Look // Trainers - Nike // Bag - Zara
Surprise, I'm wearing a pair of trainers, I was going to wear my heeled boots with this outfit but decided to opt for comfort over fashion, maybe a bad idea when attending a fashion event. Black was the colour of choice for my outfit, and was a very popular choice with the show visitors. I wore my black trainers as they matched my outfit and were super comfy to spend the day in. I also brought a large handbag so I would be able to fit all my purchases in, so I wouldn't have to carry around any extra bags.
Dress - River Island // Waistcoat - New Look // Bag - River Island // Watch - Skagen
Rachel's outfit revolved around black as well, adding the waistcoat added an extra bit of detail and some subtle colour. The waistcoat was the perfect addition as it wasn't too warm for the venue.
Jeans - River Island // Bodysuit - Primark // Jacket - New Look // Bag - Asos // Belt - Primark
Katie's outfit was very on trend for this season, as the black jeans, with multiple rips, are very popular just now. Katie also revolved her outfit around black, although the mustard coloured bodysuit added a blast of colour to the outfit, that made it stand out that little bit more. The pink lipstick Katie wore also added some extra colour to her overall look, the yellow and the pink really worked together to create a contrasting effect.
I really enjoyed the day out and even got some really good deals, I managed to get five pairs of lashes for only a tenner! I also bought some really cute pressed glitter eyeshadows in a soft silver colour and a rose gold, along with the glue to stick it to your eyelids. I would highly recommend everyone go to the Girls Day Out, you can treat yourself to some goodies and even get a few christmas presents while you're there.
